Sampling the Brit

A few of the Netherbury Nature Group popped out to the River Brit at lunch time to be given a survey demo by Pete Little. Pete carries this out voluntarily for the Westcountry Rivers Trust (see www.wrt.org.uk) and it involves a number of checks and observations of water quality, river speed/depth, bank erosion, etc. This all feeds into an ongoing survey of the state of our rivers and if you fancy contributing then check their website as they are always looking for volunteers.
